INFECTED RAIN released their new album a few days ago, a live album called The Devil’s Dozen and we spoke with Lena who told us more about the tour and the recording of the album.
The Metal Family: First of all welcome to the metal family, welcome to the family!
Lena (INFECTED RAIN): Thank you so much for the warm welcome to the metal family!
TMF: First question, what balance do you make of the tour in which you are currently immersed?
L: Touring has been an amazing experience so far. We’ve had the opportunity to connect with our fans and share our music with them, and it’s been both exciting and humbling.
TMF: Last September you were on tour in Spain, I was able to see you in Madrid and despite the few people who came, you gave one of the best shows I’ve seen in years, what memories do you have of those shows?
L: Our shows in Spain were incredible, especially the one in Madrid. We have fond memories of the passionate crowd and the energy they brought. We gave our all on stage, and we’re glad you enjoyed it!
TMF: Last year you participated in big festivals like Wacken, Summer breeze or Resurrection, which you felt on stage in a big festival and what do you prefer to play at a big festival where there are a lot of people who may not know you or in a room where everyone who attends is your fan?
L: Playing at big festivals like Wacken, Summer Breeze, and Resurrection has been exhilarating. Big milestone in our carrier I think. While we love performing for our dedicated fans in smaller venues, the thrill of introducing our music to new listeners at large festivals is so rewarding.
TMF: Let’s talk about your latest live work, The devil`s dozen, how the idea of doing a live show came about and what we will find in it You surprised a lot of people with the first preview of the album, being a ballad, who had the idea of releasing storm as the first single from the album and not a more hard song.
L: The Devil’s Dozen was born from our desire to capture the energy and intensity of our live shows. It features a mix of old favorites and new material, and we hope it showcases the essence of our performances. As for the single, “Storm,” we wanted to surprise our fans with a different side of our music and show our versatility. (STORM was the second single, the first one was The Earth Mantra)
TMF: You are preparing new material for an upcoming album and what can we expect from that material?
L: We’re currently working on new material for an upcoming album, and you can expect a blend of our signature sound with some fresh elements and surprises.
TMF: What would you say to your Spanish fans that he hopes to see you live again soon
L: To our Spanish fans, we can’t wait to return and play for you again! Thank you for your incredible support, and we hope to see you in september again.
TMF: Whatever you want to say as goodbye
L: As a goodbye, we want to thank all of our fans, and you Jose thanks for this interview see you in september.
TMF: Thank you very much for your time, we wish you the best luck in the world and we hope to see you again very soon breaking necks with your music
L: Thanks to The Metal Family
